TRANSNATIONAL LAW AND THE ROLE OF PUBLIC PROSECUTORS

The main objective of this article is to analyze the role of the Public Prosecutor's Office in the emergence of transnational law. Transnationality has led to legal repercussions in various areas of the normalization of the law, requiring interventions by the Public Prosecutor's Office in view of the multidisciplinary nature of parquetean competence. The research method used was inductive, based on bibliographical, doctrinal and jurisprudential research, with a view to a qualitative approach. The work was divided into three parts: the concept of transnational law was briefly introduced; then the competence of the Public Prosecutor's Office in the scenario of transnational law was outlined; and finally, the legal areas whose action is most in demand in the context of transnational law were detailed. It emerged that transnationality demands interdisciplinary work from the Public Prosecutor's Office, insofar as, in addition to normative and legal knowledge of the environments covered by transnationalization, dialogue and interdisciplinary cooperation are needed to guarantee the effectiveness of rights and justice at the global level.
